Peace in the Midst of the Storm

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.  Selah.  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.”  Psalm 46:1-5

In times of trouble, the redeemed of God need not fear.  Our Great God is bigger than any trouble we will ever face.  In the fiercest of tempests, we can be in perfect peace because He who calmed the raging storm with a word is with us, and He will deliver us.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Cast all your cares upon the Great Saviour, for He cares for you.

He said “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you . . . and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

Oh, come unto Christ, dear reader, and find rest for your soul, and peace in the midst of the storm.
